“Allegoria della Chiesa Trionfante” (Allegory of the church triumphant) by Elia Naturizio (1589-1657).

“The museum was stablished in 1903 to house Diocese’s artistic heritage, and to offer it as educational material for the Christian school of art and archeology of the Theological Seminary. The museum also hosts the early Christian basilica of San Vigilio, as well as the archeological artefacts dug out from the Cathedral ground between 1964 and 1977.”
