“Eryngium giganteum or ‘Miss Wilmott’s Ghost’. Miss Willmott was an Eryngium loving lady (1858-1934) who had the questionably antisocial habit of secretly dropping the seeds of this plant as she wandered around other people’s gardens. 36 -48″ high – this beautiful thistle-like plant with sturdy branches produces blue-green 2.5″ flower heads on a silver ruff, all of which fades to ivory as summer comes on.”
