“Yokosuka occupies most of Miura Peninsula, and is bordered by the mouth of Tokyo Bay to the east and Sagami Bay on the Pacific Ocean on the west.
“Shizuoka is the capital city of Shizuoka Prefecture, and the prefecture’s second-largest city in both population and area. It has been populated since prehistoric times.
“Hamamatsu flourished during the Edo period under a succession of daimyō rulers as a castle town, and as a post town on the Tōkaidō highway connecting Edo with Kyoto.
“Utsunomiya is the capital and largest city of Tochigi Prefecture in the northern Kantō region of Japan.”
